Remembering the Past was originally set up by North Shields Library Club and many of the original memories in the collection came from them. As well as collecting memories they had an active social life, supported by the staff team at North Shields Library. One of the highlights of the year was their Christmas party. Weeks of preparation and planning went into this event. The catering and entertainment had to be five star and everyone left with a mystery gift.
Little did they know that the wonderful idea they had in 1997 would become the important resource it is now. Thank you Library Club members!
