This project was initiated in 2006 by residents at Clifton Court Sheltered Accommodation following a talk given by Remembering the Past volunteers about the value of collecting memories.
As a result residents suggested a subject that they’d like to research and a core team of four residents took on the work alongside our trained volunteers.
Once the memories had been collected the team had to decide what to do with them. They were determined that there would be a ‘product’ for other people to enjoy. Tyneside Community Press at Wallsend People’s Centre helped us out by designing and producing the booklet which is reproduced here. We hope you enjoy looking through it.
