What did your dad do for a living?

Terry

I know he had an injury when he was young because I remember all his ankle was sort of narrow. I think it was run over. So anyway, he was limited on his working because of that. I do remember reading a plumber’s mate, maybe it was on some job, some paperwork I’d seen somewhere. When we were kids, he actually had a barrow, one of the fruit and veg barrows, like a Barrow Boy. You’ve got Union Street and then you’ve got High Street where McDonald’s is and I can remember it was behind there, in the spare land there. I remember we used to go and get, it was fruit and veg he had on the thing. So, another job I had, go and get the brown paper bags from this shop that was just on, it was literally 30 yards away, and if they were running out, right, go and get some of them.
