Ivy – Living in North Shields

The fishermen's statue down at the fish quay brings back lots of happy memories.

I am 10 years old. I was born here, and I’ve always lived here in this house.  I love where I live.  The fishermen’s statue down at the fish quay where me and my sister used to always play when we were younger, brings back lots of happy memories. Me and my mum sometimes go for runs or me and my sister and my mum go down just for a walk along the beach.

When you go down to the town centre there tends to be lot of shops that are run down and I hope that doing it up it will bring back more of those shops. What’s really missing is just people because when you go down it tends to be quite empty, there tends to be not that many people there.

I want to be an architect when I’m older.  I would like to build outdoor spaces because you can design outdoor spaces for people, like parks or national trust spaces or things like that.
